Meribel is simply a superb ski resort. Its location at the heart of the worlds biggest ski area the 3 Valleys ensure that you get some of the most efficient access to the 700km+ of pistes available here.
The resort was conceptualised by British skier Peter Lindsay in 1938 and his legacy echos still with vast numbers of Brits coming here to ski each winter.
The village mainly comprises pretty ski chalets that cater from the base level all the way to uber lux but there is also a good offering of apartments and hotels. Ski in ski out accommodation requires a more careful selection as the resort can be quite spread out.
Heavy investment in the modernisation of the lift system means less standing around and more ski time. The altitude served in under 12 minutes from the Saulire Express gondola from 1700 – 2500m is very impressive indeed.
