Arrival information

Where will I be met at Geneva airport?

A GAT representative will meet you in the Swiss arrivals area. This is on the other side of the doors of the baggage collection hall. We will be waiting near the information desk directly in front of the exit. Our rep will be holding a white board with your name clearly marked. This will be the name provided at the time of booking or the group leaders' name.

What do I do if my flight is delayed?

You must contact GAT ASAP to inform us of the delay and any updates using our contact details. We will then identify the most effective solution for your transfer.

If I can't find the driver or rep what do I do?

In this instance you should have already received contact for GAT. If not you can call our office or contact mobile numbers.

How long will I have to wait at Geneva airport before my transfer departs the airport?

If you have booked a private transfer then there will be no delay and we can depart as soon as you arrive in the arrivals hall.

If you have booked a shared transfer we aim to not keep you waiting for longer than 1 hr. This is in case others flights on your transfer are delayed or baggage has been misplaced and reports need to be filled out. Our goal is to get you to your destination as safely and efficiently as possible.

How long will my transfer take?

Our transfer times are indicated on each of the destination area pages. They refer to actual driving time to the centre of the resort in question. These are approximate and assume good weather and traffic conditions.

Can I be picked up from another point outside the Swiss arrival areas of Geneva airport?

Yes, of course. Our license enables us to pick up passengers anywhere in the Canton de Geneve so hotels, the train station and other pick up points are not a problem.

Additionally if you are arriving on the French side of GVA you must inform us. Any different pick up points must be indicated at the time of booking and may be liable to an additional charge.

Departure information

What time will I be picked up on my departure day?

This will be indicated on your booking confirmation ticket. For instance for transfers from Chamonix this would be at least 3hrs before your flight departure time. Having provided a suitable mobile contact number to GAT you will normally receive a text the evening before confirming your pick up time. However, GAT reserve the right to change this time. If bad weather or adverse traffic conditions are predicted it may be necessary to modify this time.

Where will I picked up on my departure day?

This will be the same place as your arrival point and the address specified on your original booking form. If you wish to change this to another point in the same resort you can do so but we can only accept a change no less than 48hrs before your scheduled pick up time. You must contact GAT with the numbers provided.

Special baggage and seating requirements

We have children in our group, what seats can you provide?

GAT can provide two types of seats.

  • Child seats for babies and children up to 9kgs.
  • Child booster seats for children of weight 9-23kg.

Please indicate these requirements at your time of booking as it is a EU requirement for children up to 12yrs and 135cm to travel with this type of seating assistance.

We have mountain bikes or oversized baggage what do we do?

All special baggage requirements must be indicated at the time of booking at the appropriate point on the booking form. Our vehicles have ample size for most types of ski and holiday baggage. For bike transfers please indicate the exact amount of bike cases you will be bringing as this may determine the vehicle selected for your trip. If you arrive with more bikes than specified at the time of booking confirmation GAT may refuse to carry these non specified items.

Privacy

At GAT we take your personal privacy and information seriously. Any information collected by us in relation to your enquiry or booking will only be used for these purposes and will not be passed onto other 3rd parties.

Form time to time you may be contacted by GAT to inform you of recent changes or promotions. However, if you do not wish to be contacted in this fashion you can automatically unsubscribe from this list or write to info@geneva-airport-transfers.com requesting this.

We will not keep your personal information for longer than necessary and have processes in place for the safe destruction of these records in accordance with French and UK guidelines.
